If you add a new context as Above, Below etc from a context form the links don’t wortk initially. You need to change the type of the new Context (its created as Unknown), then go back and link again

Android only – forms occasionally display but don’t allow you to edit data, despite the form being unlocked. To resolve, just close and re-open the form.

Q: How do I use the Levels calculations?

A: First add a new Levels form and enter details of your TBM. Then enter your Foresight for each level, when you hit return or Done the reduced level will be calculated. Then tap on the blank field to select a content form to link the level to,  a Plan, Section, Sample or Small Find. To add a new level tap on level to either copy the one you’ve just done, add a blank one or delete a level.

When all the levels are recorded, go to the form you’ve linked to the levels (say a Plan), tap on the level symbol and select the Level form – all the levels linked to your Plan will be imported into the form.

Q: How do I create a customised form?

A: You need the full version to this, not the Lite version – see Archaeopad-walkthrough for an explanation of how to do it.

Q: How do I see what standard values Archaeo-Pad contains?

A: Tap on edit to go to the form design section, then codeto see all the standard values currently loaded. If you want to create your own forms you need the full version of Archaeo-Pad, this lets you create your own lists of values (and you can copy the existing ones and edit them if that makes it easier).

Q: Can I print my forms?

A: Yes, you can output a single form or a whole collection in HTML format, which can be viewed in a browser and then printed.

Q: Can I export my  data for analysis?

A: Yes, you can export data as a CSV file for import into Excel, Access and other common analysis tools. Export works on a  collection of forms, if the collection contains a mixture of different forms the CSV that’s created will contain ALL of the fields covered by the different forms. So for example, if you export both Cuts and Deposits all  fields from both forms will be included, but where the data isn’t available a value of ‘N/A’ will be output.
